Our history.

From humble beginnings in 2001

Newly arrived in Canada, Ilie Crisan founded the company Andy Transport when he purchased a used burgundy truck out of necessity, in order to provide for his family. With his guiding principles of hard work, integrity, and passion, he expanded the fleet and drove across Canada and the US as an owner-operator until 2007. Having lost its only customer at the time, Andy Transport found itself struggling to survive as sales plummeted and had no choice but to downsize its fleet by almost 70%. It was a pivotal moment in our history when, by showing resilience, we went all in and decided to start operating as a full-service transportation company and to diversify our activities and our customer base.

A decade of fast organic growth

The year 2010 marked the beginning of a period of organic growth, diversification of services, and acquisition and opening of several terminals in Quebec and Ontario. In a period of 10 years, we have successfully launched a drayage division, flatbed division, warehousing and storage division. We have evolved and transitioned from a small family operation to one of North America’s Top 250 largest fleets and Canada’s fastest growing companies.

Turning towards the future

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary and the transition to the second generation of ownership and leadership, our organization turns towards an era of diversification and growth by strategic acquisitions to complete our offering. We will continue to invest in technological advancements that streamline the entire transportation process: increased efficiency, enhanced communications, intelligence-driven decisions, and ultimately an unparalleled service to our customers. As one of the largest women-owned transportation organization in North America, we will continue supporting and promoting diversity and inclusion while continuously building on an enviable workplace for our people.

Although not too long ago our fleet was composed of one single used truck, today we operate one of North America’s Top 250 largest fleets with a modern asset-based fleet. Guided by our founding values, we provide a stable and flexible work environment for our team members.
